While scrolling through yahoo finance today I came across this September 6th article by Reuters.
More than 90 company executives endorse Harris for US president
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than 90 company executives, including the chief executives of Yelp (YELP) and Chobani as well as the former CEOs of PepsiCo (PEP), Ford Motor Co (F) and Yahoo!, endorsed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in a letter released on Friday.
The group, which includes top sports and investment executives, said they were confident that the Democrat, who faces Republican former President Donald Trump in the Nov. 5 presidential election, would continue to bolster the economy and preserve American democracy.
"Harris has a strong record of advancing actions to spur business investment in the United States and ensure American businesses can compete and win in the global market," they wrote in the letter, first reported by CNBC.
"She will continue to advance fair and predictable policies that support the rule of law, stability, and a sound business environment, and she will strive to give every American the opportunity to pursue the American dream," the group added.
Among those backing the vice president were billionaire Mark Cuban, former 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch and Earvin "Magic" Johnson, according to the letter provided by the Harris campaign.
Laurene Powell Jobs, head of the Emerson Collective and widow of former Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs, also endorsed Harris as did the former chief executives of Merck (MRK), Aetna, GoDaddy, Blackstone (BX) and Starbucks (SBUX), among others.
The key here is 90 current and former executives. It’s pretty obvious that all of these executives are as deep state as they come, and everything said is utterly ridiculous, but I want to focus on the desperation here. 90 executives. They intend for this to appear to be a lot. It’s not.
For reference, there are 33.2 million private businesses in America. 20,000 of them are large corporations (500+ employees). Let’s just forget about the 33.2 million private businesses and just focus on the 20,000 large American corporations.
Let’s assume that every large American corporation has only one executive, that would mean 90 out of 20,000 are endorsing Kamala Harris. One out of more than 200 executives is publicly endorsing Harris. Let’s assume on average the 20,000 large corporations have four executives, remember that executives don’t necessarily just mean CEOs, often times there are many other executives as well and sometimes there are multiple CEOs. Averaging four executives per corporation, this would put the number of executives endorsing Harris at one out of more than 800 executives.
What did we learn here. Disinformation isn’t just about telling a straight lie, it’s more often about framing narratives. It’s more often about withholding information that is important for the consumer of that information to make an informed decision.
An example, the government reports 250k new jobs created, but they fail to mention that one million full-time jobs were lost, and 1.25 million part-time jobs were created netting 250k jobs added. By not including this important information, the consumer reads the report as evidence of a healthy economy.
The mainstream media manipulates everything, and nothing should be taken at face value. Everything must be taken apart and studied from multiple angles. With this article they have influenced the reader to believe a lot of executives are backing Harris, when in reality, the opposite is the case. It’s all about context. It is more likely that one out of 200-800 executives are actually supporting Harris.
We can file those 90 executives with the 151 intelligence agents that told us Hunter’s laptop was disinformation.
Thank for putting this info in perspective. Often the last paragraph of a news article has a little truth. I gave up local papers, all fake news or very slanted. Internet has better news but we have to discern here, too! Good job.
