Eric never disappoints. I was blessed to live mostly in rural settings without TV of any kind. Going to visit grandparents meant no electricity. But the fireflies and the nightly ritual of lighting kerosene lamps were fascinating. So I was spared this kind of manufactured terror. Concern for safe use of the lamps was about the limit of fear!

Spielberg cut his teeth in his 20s guest directing tv hits like Columbo and (I believe) The Rockford Files. His roots in Hollywood popular fiction are deep.
He directed Dennis Weaver in Duel, easily the most nerve wracking movie I have ever seen.
Successful story tellers throughout history have usually worked for the establishment (the Fool in the Middle Ages and Renaissance always worked for the king and dared say things - including lies and defamation - everybody else was too scared to say).
Finally, history is always written by the winners. That is why the fake news complex has been so powerful, until now. 🇺🇸
If Spielberg is hinting that God is an alien, then is Satan another alien? Someone should interview him about these themes. Meanwhile I found it suspect that a celebrity wedding on the eve of America’s celebration was held at Madison Square Garden and using the city’s resources for police protection & blocking off main streets. I envisioned that the guests wore hoods as in “Eyes Wide Shut.” Are they aliens? There’s a lot of talent there but at what price?
Whatever route is taken to find truth is not easy. It takes determination and persistence throughout life, it takes a genuine searching and desire and will never be delivered up on a platter for consumption by the lukewarm mentioned in scripture. I would say it's more like a reward for the hard labour of digging or the long wandering search of a desert for a single flower.

I am reminded of something I read or heard somewhere a while back and have been thinking about a lot in recent years.
The idea is that every society is defined by the stories it tells itself. And those stories could be true or not. Or partly true.
One that I think is interesting is the story most people, liberal or conservative, “know” about the Iraq war. They “know” there were no weapons of mass destruction and we were duped.
In reality between 4900 and 5000 chemical weapons munitions were finally admitted to have been found. (Who knows how many more really were?) And Georges Sada in the book “Saddam’s Secrets” states that 56 plane loads of weapons were shipped to Syria in the early 2000’s. Sada was second in command of the Iraqi Air Force. A short Google search can flush this information out.
Yet most arguments regarding Middle East affairs now start with the premise that there were none even if the parties arguing violently disagree about everything else. That there were none is the “accepted story” we all now “know” to be true even if we disagree about everything else including the color of the sky.
This is just one story. There are many more. In my opinion these stories, if not true, start us off from fixed positions on issues that may or may not make sense. I think everything needs challenged whether we believe it or not.

What's interesting is this is the product of the enemy... and God says hold my beer because God's truth is coming and will blow people away. I'm frantically trying to work 7 days while gathering info for a 8 piece enemy expose that I just found out Mel Gibsons next movie is also about. The prophets are all talking about what my last article was about. God's on the move and Spielbergs joke will be pulverized by the prophets, prophetic writers, writers like YOU, Mel Gibsons next 2 films, Trump and any other way the Holy Spirit moves on earth.

Eric, you saved me a lot of money, having not seen all but 2 of the movies you wrote about. Jaws we saw because we had guests from NL at the time and the young girl wanted to see it. ET because it's what the grandson of my good friend chose to see for his birthday! I am so immune to movies and their influence. Thanks for bringing me up to speed. I preferred all my life to read books, biographies and autobiographies. Some historical novels, like the ones for our 1976 Bicentennial celebration. Good movie reviews in hindsight!
I am a Bible believing Christian and I have witnessed God working in my life even when I didn't ask! Regarding aliens, I believe many, even nonbelievers, will see through the alien nonsense. Your insights are amazing and spot on! In particular, I realize that many of my beliefs about the wars, etc. were influenced by these movies. Thankfully I have learned many truths about so much since 2015 that I can't even list all of them!
The TV series Ancient Aliens also puts out the idea that ETs, through genetic manipulation, acted as "gods" to create and/or advance humans. And that now, we humans are doing our own DNA manipulation, and maybe, even, we are the aliens, come back from the future. In other words, minimizing the idea of an all powerful God. I recall one episode in particular that really pushed this suggestion.

You couldn't swim in an ocean or lake...I was scared to even take a bath or shower!!!!
