Great explanation. However, I am very surprised that China's exports to the US are only 3% of their GDP. It seems like almost everything we buy, from household supplies to clothing to Christmas decorations and everything in between, is "made in China". So I expected that number to be much higher. I very much look forward to seeing a lot more " made in USA" on product labels!

Me too. I think it was probably higher before Trump’s first time around in office. I assume they diversified away from America and are now doing more business with the BRIC countries.
