Great analogy Erik. I don’t know why we have such namby pamby politicians in this country. It’s been that way for so long people don’t know what to think of a Prez that sticks up for our country. Some still seem to think he’s “mean”. Most of us are happy our Prez has some nads and isn’t afraid to use them. Bring on the tariffs !
A lot of Canadians have TDS in varying levels severity, they also have a touch of moral superiority and the arrogance which comes along with it, i.e. ultra-woke.
They can’t and won’t pay that bully Trump, or so how their thinking process goes.
Trudeau gets to use this event to play his final role as “Captain Canada” and push Canada into trade war so that can call himself a superhero trying save Canadians from the big bad fascist down south.
How Trump can punish Trudeau without angering Canadians.
But … the US needs 21M barrels of oil a day and only produces 13M barrels, so it needs oil from other countries. Iraq? Iran? Venezuela?
It is, however, rather nice that plentiful oil can come from a province just a hop, skip and a jump across the US northern border. And there is a most amenable Premier there who is so eager to do biz.
Great explanation. However, I am very surprised that China's exports to the US are only 3% of their GDP. It seems like almost everything we buy, from household supplies to clothing to Christmas decorations and everything in between, is "made in China". So I expected that number to be much higher. I very much look forward to seeing a lot more " made in USA" on product labels!
Me too. I think it was probably higher before Trump’s first time around in office. I assume they diversified away from America and are now doing more business with the BRIC countries.
Love it. Willing to suck it up for a while in exchange for bringing jobs and manufacturing back to the U.S. We need to be 100 percent fully self-sufficient without need from any other country, most especially countries that hate us.

Excellent! Bottom lines: ‘The US is not only in a position of power to negotiate, but they are the ones that have been victimized for far too long.’
‘Seems like a win win situation to me.’
Indeed it does! God bless you, Erik.🙏
OOH, I would SO vote you in as a true representative of We The People.....
PRECISELY PERFECT - - best brain on the Internet ! ...........................blessings e
Thanks.
Thank you again for your always rationale & logical analysis Erik. 🫡🇺🇸
Insightful analysis.
Ill get my syrup from Vermont thank you very much! Bring water to CA we can grow all the avocados the nation needs!!
Wonderful analogy. Will send a friend who wants to understand why I support Trump!! Thanks for making this idea simple, easy to grasp! Go, Erik!!

It’s not about trade imbalances it’s about how corrupt and compromised Canada has become.

Really nicely explained.
Excellent analogy. I can use this when some friends say Trump is backpedaling.
Everything from China is plastic junk. Good riddance
Great analogy.
And likely accurate.

I enjoyed this! Thank you.
